Most forgotten items in vehicles during the holiday season

The whole team at Transpoco hopes you are enjoying the holiday season!

To keep up with the atmosphere of these days and also cheer up the ones that are busy managing their fleets, we'd like to share some of the most unusual items left in vehicles during the holiday period, revealed by a rental company.

Some of their festive finds in the returned vehicles included the front end of a horse’s costume, a thawed-out frozen turkey, a cardboard cut-out Santa and a pair of diamond earrings (probably meant to be an expensive Christmas gift!).

Linda Paul from Thrifty Car and Van Rental said: “We normally have a few forgetful customers throughout the year, but this always increases at Christmas as everyone just has so much to remember. The horse’s head was certainly an amusing find, and not something that has been left in a Thrifty car before. Thrifty Car and Van Rental ensures all items are booked into lost property and we always try to locate the rightful owner. If anyone is worried they have forgotten something in a Thrifty car over the Christmas period, just give us a call and we will be happy to help.”

The ten most unusual festive finds have been:

1. The front end of a horse’s costume
2. A cardboard cut-out santa
3. A defrosted turkey
4. A pair of diamond earrings
5. X-box
6. A bag of broken baubles
7. Ten Christmas puddings
8. A bundle of stamped and addressed Christmas cards
9. A bunch of mistletoe
10. A tray of pigs in blankets

The Transpoco team certainly does not forget you! Keep an eye on your in-vehicle items ;-) and don't forget to enjoy this season. We wish you all the best for the new year!
