Maintenance is an essential part of a fleet’s activity. When everything runs smoothly, you might even begin to forget it exists. But if the unpredictable happens, you might find yourself suddenly having to seriously reconsider your maintenance system or schedule.
On numerable occasions we have covered the importance of planning preventative maintenance along with having all the necessary tools and data; bearing in mind that fleets and vehicles are not all the same—you might need something that is not essential to another fleet and vice versa.
It is not at all practical to completely rely on reactive maintenance; dealing with a problem only after it happens without having a risk management strategy or an effective preventative system can only create more problems. Of course unplanned events can happen, but chances are that you won’t have time to think about an instant solution—you need a good maintenance system to be in place already.
If you are on the lookout for best practices, tips and help on maintenance for your fleet, you can join our webinar on July 16th, which will focus on these subjects.
Our invited expert is Richard Cahill, currently in charge of the fleet for Cork County Council, an engineer with more than twenty years’ experience in both the public and the private sector. His expertise covers road design and construction, organisational development and fleet management.
Richard, together with our CEO Andrew Fleury, will talk about maintenance related questions during the event.
You cannot miss this event! The webinar will take place on July 16th at 1:30 pm, and you can sign up by visiting the registration page. If you can’t make it, don’t worry, you can register anyway and we will send you the recording.
